The Gyan Tree is a social enterprise started to bring about a quality change in the teaching and learning experience in the classroom. It provides solutions to the various stake holders of the schooling community through its workshops, books and mentoring programs.
The Gyan Tree grew from the 'seed' of Kidology, which was conceptualised and started in 2003 by Vaishali Nitturkar in Sydney, Australia. It was started primarily to develop 7Es in kids – Empathy, Energy, Ethics, Enquiry, Enterprise, Excellence and Equanimity. The Kidology seed has now grown in to “The Gyan Tree” to include all the stakeholders of the schooling community who influence the kids and assist them in developing the 7Es.
